Finally finished some commission work for the goat @trol_is_garbage .
Tried to make the art as sick, nasty, and rad as DFWs local boomer is.
I've been the MsPaint guy for a long time. I only used the Pencil, Fill Bucket, and Color scale tools.
Now that I'm using Krita I have so many more brushes at my disposal, so I decided to try and familiarize myself with some brushes by drawing kirby bosses.
Here are the results.
@Nem_Graphics It's usually when I'm doing commissioned work I plan things out just so I can show the person who wants a drawing what I have envision in my mind.
But doodles and drawings for me are just freestyle on the spot made up, letting shapes and feels guide what I want to do.
@NalaWu When I played my Locathah Battle Master Bubbys I considered putting in one level of Barbarian so I could access Rage, but reflavor it as Joy and grapple enemies in excited friendly hugs.
I didn't do it, but it was considered and I somewhat regret not having done it.
@Nem_Graphics I suspect he has man made horrors beyond mortal comprehension in stock.
Just a suspicion.
Drew my D&D character Hatrick The Conjuration Wizard Harengon.
Todays his first session in a new campaign our friends are doing.
He's here to con everyone out of their coin in hopes he'll get rich enough to live "The Good Life".
More Visual Story Work.
Prompt: The rat prepares to steal food, unaware of the cats sly trap.
This week I had to make art following compositional structures. There were FORTY DRAWINGS made in total, but for the sake of not flooding the TL I'll post only the final stages.
Once I had the base icon in place I had to get to work on a background for it. Creating an abstract background was tough given the base icons shape. I needed to make something that would guide viewers eyes. I created arrows to visualize the guide and I decided to draw a fountain.
Indulged in self drawing last night again, this time featuring my favorite D&D character I've ever made, if not my favorite character period.
Hydell the Myconid Druid Baby!
The original art is from OVER THREE YEARS AGO! I'm so proud of my improvement in that time.
Sat down last night and drew for myself, something I haven't done in a long time.
And what better thing to draw than and old D&D character of mine, Bubbus! He makes me very happy.
I have last nights drawing alongside the drawing of him I did a year and a half ago.
