Let's talk a bit about the lanterns in the VALORANT Night Market photo: parol! 🌟

Parol are Christmas star-shaped lanterns with Spanish origins, that symbolize the Star of Bethlehem. They light up the Philippines streets as early as September and come in many shapes & sizes! 🧵

This ornate wind-themed dagger w/ a tassle loads in as Jett's knife in the VALORANT model port I use 🗡️🤔

I figured it was scrapped Project A files, but I always wondered why it looked so different. Then I learned Jett was originally a Chinese agent under the dev name "Wushu" 🌪️

I talked with a friend who's into FGC, here's what they told me:

- Outfit designed with minimal clipping in mind e.g. tapered sleeves, tied rope belt instead of purple tassle

- Black corset belt breaks colour flow in new style (we don't know tbh without seeing it in motion)

The purple elements are nice but I still don't understand some of the character design choices + why the black elements were removed (save for sandals)

It might be a fighting game thing? I'm not sure since I don't play FG that often and the art style changed
