Thank you for the kind words on my Minecraft house! Some things:

1) I use Bare Bones textures + BSL Shaders

2) I thought I'd only make one nice house inspired by MC YTers like SEVEN or ManDooMin, but my mental block lasted longer.

So I made a Koreatown w/ 5 shops + bonus. (1/)

There is also a beach to the side of the building w/ a 2nd communal fireplace, some chairs, and two turtles that hang around.

I named the two turtles Thalash and Kaptain because why would I not? 🐢🐢

2020 will be the 1st year without a TF2 LAN. That's fine IMO, the world needs to heal first. I know it's hard on a lot of TF2 peeps who wanted to meet up.

@MiaKitsune Oh thank you! You're good, I know what you mean. Her name is Ran, she's an old OC and I think I actually used Corel Draw to colour her, been meaning to do some redraws or explore her again

The year was 2009. I'd found Photoshop CS4 was installed on my school laptop and I found a shiny world outside of MS Paint that I didn't realize existed before 😍😍

As you can see my love for overusing rimlights / filters / shiny rendering never really died out though ✨😬✨

Here's some #StarttoFinish of the whole process. I used Clip Studio Paint's colorize with some scribbles before blending them both together, and then adding the rest of the lights, shading, & additional polish & touches at the end.

Read up on advice for artists that mention it's important to make time for personal art, which helps motivation as well as burnout from commissions/art blocks.

I tried it and challenged myself with new techniques, with @TipoftheHats mascots Phil & Sally motivating me too. 🧡🧡
