i always referred to castle in the sky as just 'laputa' growing up so of course i associate the word with the very pretty movie that i like a lot, and it's been a huge internal conflict ever since i found out what it actually means :/

laputa (and ghibli movies in general) have such gorgeous backgrounds & visual style, they’re a huge inspiration to me :)!
