last touches, mostly messing around with overlays and stuff and it done. im not a fan of the bg on this tbh but i actually recorded my process so i feel like i should share i guess. skiddly do da dee doo wop wop.
i added the sparkles to luckys mane, and then some extra clovers to make them look like theyre actually there and not just floating on the background. at this point tho i was so fed up of drawing clovers so i feel like i could have added more tbh
then i change the colour of the lines. i dont know how noticeable it is really, changed the black to a dark blueish colour. makes it a lil softer i guess?
i then actually add the colours to luckys hair and begin to shade lol. how i shade is like a whole other thingn in itself but i generally do character by character because im impatient. generally involves a mix of soft and hard shading and just kinda seeing what my eye likey like
rough in some colours so you know what you're aiming for in the end. kinda a pointless stage i guess but it helps me focus more on the colours rather than the details so i have a base to work off of when i actually go in and add the details properly
i spent too much time on this and i dont really have enough to show for it #MLPFiM
