I really love the way they designed the “shock” faces to go with the sprites that have angled down eyebrows. They look really good! Super expressive.

Introducing doubt, guilt, and shame to a character famous for being sharp and self-composed would have been such rich food. Run that up against Est’s similar spiral and their tragic epilogue becomes much more resonant.

I don’t even know who this drab dishwater guy is.

These are the details we know about Abel’s character from FE1/FE3 canon material:
1. He’s skillful and shrewd, where Cain is a hothead
2. He puts personal relationships ahead of knightly obligation
3. Game so strong that women desperately scream out his name as they are dying

My major beef with FE11/12 is that they blew their load giving love and attention to the new characters (especially Kris) and did almost nothing for beloved legacy characters. Cain is an exception, and I DO like the FE11 prologue for this reason.

If FEH won’t give me a TMS Harmonic, I’ll make my own 😤
