03. Fuck Art (@thedirtynil). Hard to believe I'd never heard of this band until October (thanks @themenzingers for taking them on tour), but I've listened to this nonstop since. It's incredibly fun punk that doesn't take itself too seriously but nails what it wants to do so well.
@PetitePhD When someone suggests signing someone other than George Springer so the Mets don't go over the luxury tax.
(13) "Live Forever" by Bartees Strange. I had not heard of this artist until three weeks ago, and now I can't stop listening to this thanks to @TheSweaterGuy98. This album is an eclectic mix of indie rock and hip hop, and the result is a distinctive and fascinating debut release.
(14) "Skeleton Coast" by The Lawrence Arms. I'm sad it took me until 2020 to fall in love with TLA, who remain one of the best punk bands around. This album is a ball of energy and should fall high on any fan's ranking. Chris and Brendan deliver some of their best songs to date.
(15) "Things I Never Said" by Oceanator. Elise Okusami has crafted a truly breathtaking release with catchy pop hooks over grungy guitar tones and brought together with her honest lyrics. The rock world needs more voices like Elise and hopefully this is the start of a big future.
