Born on 29th Aug 1937 at Vizianagaram in Andhra to Venkataswamy Naidu and Jaggayamma, Mangathayaru was named after Alamelumanga Devi of Thiruchanoor.

Naidu garu had assumed charge as the principal of the music college in Vizianagaram in 1936.

On #NationalScienceDay a rare image of the famous Indian scientist Satyendranath Bose (1894-1974) who discovered the Higgs-Boson particle, playing his Esraj. He was a trained classical musician who was proficient in performing the Esraj and Dilruba.
