A number of years ago I made a calendar featuring a variety of microbes, each shown with a molecular structure that’s unique or important to their biology, and a little information about them. Some are pathogens, some “beneficial”, and some “neutral”. #SciArtTweetStorm
@TLowePower @MicrobialGurl There are a few fungus items in my RedBubble shop: https://t.co/8x1Y3Oalki
A few years back I got to participate in a super fun project, the @ScienceBorealis #SciComm100 by doodling scientists, media folk, policy makers, and artists with a quote about their thoughts on scicomm. Here are a few for #SciArtTweetStorm
Now for something relatively recent of my own featuring weird and wonderful arachnids from some of the lesser-known orders: Solifugae, Schizomida, Ricinulei, Acariformes, Palpigradi, and Pseudoscorpionida. #SciArtTweetStorm
I also reworked and coloured an old doodle inspired by a ridiculous conversation.
Wednesday is my creative day. I take myself to the living room and spend time communing with some sculpey or resin or my iPad or whatever. Some days this works out really well and I manage to get a lot done. Some days I end up doodling a half-assed isopod with anatomy issues.
Good morning, arachnid fanciers! I made you a thing. https://t.co/SgKXVzbM8N
