On the day 23 years ago, Team Fortress Classic was released.
While the Heavy in this game is canonically a different person from the Heavy in Team Fortress 2, I wanted to still acknowledge this game, because without it there might not be a Team Fortress 2.
On this day 39 years ago, the famous plumber Luigi made his debut in Mario Bros., and would go on to become an icon of video gaming.
Luigi plays a very important role in Video Game Apartments. He's one of the founders of the apartment, so without him the webcomic wouldn't exist!
28 years ago today, Final Fantasy VI released, and with it the odd and iconic enemy, Cactuar, made their debut.
Cactuar can be seen randomly around Video Game Apartments. No one is quite sure what they're doing, but it seems they're just doing Cactuar things.
19 years ago, Dragon Quest Monsters: Caravan Heart released on the Game Boy Advance. This game was Dark Slime's debut.
Dark Slime shows up in Video Game Apartments as Angel Slime's polar opposite. Often arguing with her, and trying to lead others down the path of darkness.
Today marks Kingdom Hearts 20th anniversary. Roxas made his debut in this game's secret ending. We just had no idea who he was yet, and he had weird glowing eyes.
In our comic, Roxas is generally chilling around Video Game Apartments, or out doing high adrenaline activities.
27 years ago, in 1995, the fantastic RPG Chrono Trigger was released. This game was the debut of both Crono and Marle. It saw them travel through time with their friends as they tried to stop the apocalypse.
Both can be seen in Video Game Apartments doing various fun antics.
21 years ago today, the Dragon Quest spinoff, Dragon Warrior Monsters 2 released on the Game Boy Color, marking the debut of Angel Slime.
One of the many varieties of Slime in the Dragon Quest franchise, Angel Slime can been seen arguing with Dark Slime in Video Game Apartments.
One year ago today Video Game Apartments made its grand debut! Thank you to everyone who has supported and read our comic this past year! It really has meant a lot to see people enjoying it so much!
#webcomic
The first characters to appear this year were Xion and Roxas alongside a cameo from Tetsuya Nomura, with Nomura being the first one to speak. The last characters to appear this year are Inkling, Octoling, Crono, Marle, and Aeterna, with Aeterna getting the final line of the year.
I've heard that Twitter doesn't like to show tweets with links in them, so I'm experimenting to see if quote tweets can get around that.
The newest #webcomic from #VideoGame Apartments has been released, and for the 50th comic we're doing a Q&A! Links are in the quote tweet. https://t.co/sKeQ94ytyt
