the only #interpvscanon I have is knuckles and all I really do is make his muzzle darker, color his fingers a dark brown, and give him hand wraps underneath his gloves. currently in the process of redesigning his shoes tho~

and just to expand on that, aside from knuckles' honesty and heart, I feel sonic also just admires knuckles' ability to change so transparently and sincerely—acknowledging one's own mistakes. it's not everyday a hero like sonic comes across a person (once enemy) like knuckles.
