My biggest problem with new #anipoke series so far is that Satoshi's new partners are fully evolved and fully powered Pokemon. There's like no room for their development whatsoever, unless they develop as characters somehow.

The thing that makes Unova games so good is that you can play BOTH BW and BW2 and get the ultimate Unova experience. You cannot do that with SM&USUM or with DPPt because they overlap with each other. SwSh DLCs are a good idea for this reason.
