bleh twitter doesn't like transparency and small formats does it
So here have both Sick Yuchis on a white background
I maintain that Shui Hu Shen Shou's Sick Yuchi is an absolute mood.
I might never use it in battle because it has as much durability as wet cardboard, but there are days when I find its expression very relatable somehow.
Weirdly comforting.
Another Sacred Beast, "Cold Bug". A little monster that exhales icy breath and can cause snowstorms.
Basically, Snom's type-concept ancestor with some Caterpie/Weedle influences.
Though there is no Bug or Ice type in the game so it's Water type instead.
And you can surf on it.

I think I can boldly say that Shui Hu Shen Shou is my game pick for the summer. The battle/monster system is very similar to Pokémon yes, but I feel that with its focus on story and its overall tone, sound and visuals, it can easily stand on its own.
Yellow-mud Ridge forest from #ShuiHuShenShou. Beautiful area in a beautiful game.

More SHSS monsters!
The Harm Star, Flower Stalk (random encounter in an early map) and the Minute Star, Nine-Tattoed Dragon(s) (He has his importance).
While changes for Flower Stalk are sprite interpretations, I tweaked the other one to push the Fire-type and tattoo aspect more
The Hero Star, Little Li Guang from SHSS.
The sprite always looked a bit uncanny to me, don't know if it's the empty eyes and lack of ears or if because the pose was edited from a Patamon artwork.
But a rodent that shoots stingers from a crossbow-tail is a cool monster concept.
