Another side-by-side: 1) scan of the cover of my copy of the Fantagor Press edition of Den, printed in Holland, and as you can see, though the lettering is bright and crisp, the reproduction of Corben's Den painting is not good, and 2) the forthcoming Dark Horse edition.
Here’s a poster of Den by Richard Corben that Warren used to advertise as a depiction of our hero as “the savage paragon of the carnal combat” or some such, along with the cover of the forthcoming Den reprint/restoration. The difference between the two images is quite remarkable.
Even more “Rock Dreams” (1973), illustrated by Guy Peellaert and written by Nik Cohn.
Four movie posters with art by Osvaldo Venturi (1900-1989). Of course, the artist has Rasputin give movie-goers the middle finger; Rasputin is a bad man. :-)
@DreamRedo @RoterAdlerSLB I also like this one… though I’m not finished watching it yet…
@DreamRedo @RoterAdlerSLB The central conceit of the series is all kinds of crazy, but the action is great and the abundant humour works for me, which isn’t always the case with anime.
