Although I was back home now, it meant I still had to deal with the thoughts, that would come back every once in a while.
Finally, I was ready to leave the hospital. This was a cause for much celebration within my heart.
I have no words for this one. No words to explain the helplessness one feels when one goes straight from being a strong, independent person to being hospitalised for mental health reasons.
At my previous accommodation in Australia, the question always used to be, ‘What are you up to?’ Whereas at the mental health unit, the question always was, ‘How are you?’
Being admitted to the hospital made me realise how badly I needed time to just be, to let myself heal.
