Watching the Netflix fashion drama Halston. And so pleased to see creative director Joe Eula (1925-2004), is a central character. A prominent illustrator, he worked with many of the great fashion houses/mags. And held a long creative partnership with photographer Milton Greene.

I’ve long admired the Shell posters from the 20/30s, illustrated by an impressive list of celebrated artists. This one (on display @HauserWirth Somerset) is by Denis Constanduros; whose artistic career was relatively short, before he turned to screenwriting for TV and radio.
