gen 5! while it felt like i was padding out the other ones up to this point, THIS one was tough to narrow down. like! so many good ones missed the mark still! my NEXT six favorites would probably still make this the best gen yet.

gen 3 is a weird gen and it has always felt kind of "off" to me for reasons i can't quite explain. does have some delightful weirdos, though, as well as probably my only Normie pick in the entire series. props to banette and armaldo, which came close!

gen 2 is. probably the slimmest pickings for me, sorry to gen 2 fans out there. scizor and sudowoodo are the only really big ones that didn't make the cut and neither are like, super top-favorites or anything
