At this very moment, I'm writing up a review AND a retrospective for the game, something that should have been done a while ago, but when you have a game like this, it's quite a challenge to review for due to its massive scope and details.

But, I believe I'm finally ready!🙏

Today is the 4th anniversary of the critically-acclaimed #metroidvania masterpiece, Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom, an ultimate love letter to the iconic #WonderBoy series of games.

How are you all feeling about this title 4 years later? 🤔

Three days remain until the 4th anniversary of #MonsterBoyGame! I have a feeling we'll have a discussion about the game and how it holds up 4 years later.

This grand adventure is still fresh in my mind, so I may finally go ahead and do a review. We'll see!

For the longest time, I saw this guy as a mysterious old man who just follows you around to save the game. But even giving someone like him a lore purpose is really darn cool and increases his respect points from me quite a bit. "IT IS I!" 🤭

I will also note that Shantae very much looks like one of the maids from Monster World IV. I have shockingly never seen people make that simple connection and draw fan art of the two swapping attire for fun. Looks like I'll have to step in and change that myself...again... 😉

@SorachiJirachi I've wondered for years now how Purapril XIII would look in your style. Hope you'll give her a shot! 🙏
