Why do Superhero games keep making perfect classic style costumes only for them to be alternate suits, add on’s, or to only be used in canon for like 30 minutes

I absolutely despise the idea of making Gwen a love interest for Miles like why would you take away such a pivotal and defining moment for Peter when you can just give miles his own original love interest
