First impressions on Sonny Boy:

The production is very stimulating. The entire art direction and story boarding is so interesting & original, even the more basic shots. But what's impressing me even more, is its engaging, fun premise. I expected the story to be snobby. It's not.

Can we appreciate David Production for constantly adapting great classic manga into modern anime?

Studios like Mappa are great, but they tend to stick with currently trending works. So I love seeing DP adapting works from a vast sea of quality manga from the 90s and before.

I've been reading this manga called Usotoki Rhetoric

I find the premise to be really intruiging & fun. It's a story about this girl who has the ability to detect when people lie partnering up with a detective in a historical japan. It tackles diff themes related to truth & lies.

Question: What is your favorite anime/manga written by a woman?

It's a bit frustrating that an anime as amazing and empathetic as Natsume Yuujinchou isn't very popular enough on anitwt.

It is an incredible anime of the highest tier and more people need to check it out. Its the kind of anime that makes you proud of being a fan of the medium.

Still rent free in my head how Gintama was able to conclude so many of its character arcs and give them proper closure amazingly in its final stretch.

Sorachi was a mangaka who treated himself like a gorilla but was really one of the most intellegent writers in the medium.

One of the best modern era mangaka in the same tier as Ichikawa sensei. This mangaka's work on Witch Hat Atelier is magical. From its innovative panelling, to its take on high fantasy. A masterclass artist and a storyteller. Go read Witch Hat Atelier please.

Mangaka of Pandora Hearts and Vanitas no Carte. I genuinely think her storytelling is something aspiring authors should learn from. How she's able to tie in character arcs to a grand scale overarching plot is truly something special. She's one of a kind.

HakxYona is one of my ideal couples in fiction. The way the author crafted their characters individually & as a duo is just amazing. They stand on their own feet as characters so well while being a very healthy couple who support each other. Animanga needs more couples like them.
