I rmmber hating POTN S1 for always seeing Nakyum cry at almost every chapter. Now . . . I WANT THAT BACK! I'd rather have NK feel smth and cry than see him so lifeless and dejected 😭

To feel so hopeless and unsure of one's feelings is not an easy feat. What Nakyum is trying to do in POTN's S2 is trying to numb his feelings so as not to get hurt of the fact the he is alone and has nowhere to go.
