Prompted by an art talk, I went to dig for the best of my art... from 15 years ago.
And yes, it's terrible, but I also realized I was a lot braver back then. Way more willing to risk fails just to have fun.
I love how blatantly obvious epiphanies are, but only after they happen.
With One Path Ends out in #GuildWars2 today, you can also Visit Orr, the amazing land of architectural geniuses who tableflipped their entire island at the first sight of a passing charr!
(Made this back when the episode released; I'm way too proud of it because it's dumb.)
Charr parenting being what it is, my heart weeps for all the older sibling/bandmate patience that gets tested instead.
Spent most of May painting a boatload of backgrounds, needed a small reprieve that's not bars or dusty towns or shrubbery. Enjoy!
"I know not what his name was. Mother called him Rajat, that is all she told. This... this is not the image I had in my mind."
I'm sorry I'm still stuck unable to paint a whiteout on a blank paper. I'm trying to break out of that block.
Have a hybrid while you wait.
"𝘋𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘧𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘱𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳, 𝘤𝘶𝘣. 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘪𝘵. 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘩𝘪𝘮 𝘰𝘣𝘦𝘺 𝘺𝘰𝘶."
I hope year of the Ox treats you better.
(And my apologies for the long absence, my health kinda went places.)
An otter, a charr, a miqo'te, a sabretooth, a fox and a 1760s English sailor walk into a bar...
Being a writer is amazing. One has as many imaginary friends as they can carry from any setting or time period they can imagine. And they're fun to doodle, too.
Wherever you are, whoever you are, if you need something warm and cozy to take your mind off things, please, enjoy.
It's always calming to me to take refuge in work. On top of my day job, past 8 weeks had me nudge around 2 comic updates (charr and SF) and also flesh out some fun illustrations. There's just something soothing about seeing my characters support and care for one another.
Adding one more, because he didn't fit the place above (... he never does).
Also make sure to check out the tag, guys, there's some absolutely amazing people hiding in it.
