Oliver Twist, a novel by English writer Charles Dickens. It was published between 1837-39.
It is named after Gianduia, a character in Italy’s Commedia dell'Arte. Wearing a tricorn hat and a brown jacket with red borders, Gianduja is an honest peasant of the Piemontese countryside. Today, the character is considered the official carnival mask in Torino. (+)

The Imperial Trans-Antarctic expedition of 1914–1917 is considered to be the last major expedition of the Heroic Age of Antarctic Exploration. Conceived by Sir Ernest Shackleton, the expedition was an attempt to make the first land crossing of the Antarctic continente. (+)
