Idk while fanart is kind of looked down on in some ways, creating mxtx fanart has drastically helped in increasing skills and knowledge. And I personally think you can see the difference in how I enjoy drawing now than I did in 2015 where it kind of felt like a chore

As a byproduct of this i finally am using the knowledge I have on drawing human anatomy and it's been a massive learning curve transferring it from theory to practice, but seeing the progression from say, my hongjoong tarot to X baekhyun is cool

What I think is important to acknowledge is that mxtx is actually the one reason I have ever tried drawing more than one figure in a piece, or even more than a headshot for one person. These are literally the first three pictures I've ever drawn with more than one body
