Throwback to this cutie who really sparked my love of drawing dogs again 💞 I don't think I ever gave this cutie a name - anyone have any suggestions? 😍

Today I thought I'd show you a bit of the design process behind this character I created for a mock-up picture book page. Her name is Poppy and she's a red panda! Before I decided on a red panda, I also explored some other animals: including a cat, a mouse and a cheetah 💕

Although I usually draw using texture and colour, for my simple commissions, sometimes I use lines to create a more cartoon-y style. It works really well for couple portraits, but also for pet portraits like this one! Now available to buy in my Etsy store: https://t.co/Ov9hGT7tgr
