Don Garlits was the first to innovate the rear engine Top Fuel Dragster after a crash that resulted in losing part of his foot! The top rear wing was also a Garlits innovation. As was the 2 engine top gas dragster which was outlawed in 1972 by NHRA! Don thought outside the box!

Don Garlits was a early to promote the full Nomex drivers suit including socks, gloves and the balaclava! This Hall of Famer was the first to surpass 170, 180, 200, 250 and 270 mph on the 1/4 mile and the first to top 200mph on the 1/8 mile strip! His race cars were revolutionary

the next stop Jack stops short of Rob,s rear bumper! @wrenchtwister00 carrying 2 tires slid across Jack,s hood and on the way by a tire I was carrying slammed the glass of Jack,s car causing it to break! The very next pit stop Jack gave us plenty of room!
Birdie was proud of me!

Jack Ingram a Hall of Famer won 5 @NASCAR Championships and over 300 wins, all by doing things his way! Hard nosed and hot tempered, Jack was a racer who played no games!
@DaleJr called Jack tough as nails a old school racer who he respected so much for the era he raced in! 🙏

Paying a small tribute to @NASCAR legend who passed away just last week! Jack Ingram was a racer who took no prisoners! He raced hard and gave no one a inch on the race track. He knew his race car mechanically better than anyone!
