time for my regularly scheduled 'look at this that I started painting but lost steam on' sharing of Death from Darksiders2

I don't think I've ever posted it un-cropped version, but you can SEE the steam was lost immediately after I did the buckles.

things I learnt this year in my art: Pinks, blues and purples are really good.
I got more adventurous with character designs (example: Vast)
still a big fan of rim lighting

things I still wanna try: more dynamic poses & foreshortening, more backgrounds
