In Power Rangers Samurai, Lauren is from a centuries old bloodline of Japanese Samurai who have since mixed in with the West. However her family still keeps tradition and upholds the legacy of those who came before. I wanted to draw this as a reminder of my own mixed heritage.

That said: the Morphinaut and the Phantom Ranger’s Ruby might well be revealed to be a heart too as the teens theorize that he is ALSO a Morphin Master- i.e. one of them.

SPOILERS FOR POWER RANGERS UNIVERSE: the emblems on the new Squadron team’s chests in civilian form are Morphin Hearts, which are pretty much Morphin Master hearts. Their entire civilization is Morphin Masters though the teens don't appear to have gained the same rank yet.
