Yoshitaka Amano - this guy's got his hooks in everybody i swear. the whimsy and the adding of goofy little critters in every piece is just such a cornerstone of what i've come to love to draw

Jeff Smith - BONE was such an important comic to me growing up. influenced a lot of my favorite aspects of both humor, mild horror, and environmental storytelling. just. fantastic stuff. more people should mash 'conflicting' artstyles together.
