The USS Sato (A mobile subspace relay and communication specialist ship) acting as a temporary relay in the atmosphere of Doraf I. The Sato delivered a ground relay to terraformers that is currently being set up. (2399)
The (space)yacht model that I used to demonstrate Powernurbs in the @NPowerSoftware stand at @siggraph 2007. (San Diego) I was very nervous, but it was a lot of fun. 😀
IXS Clarke, a Q-thruster concept from around 2015.
Some other concepts in various stages. I kitbashed the Nebula refit for Kirsten Beyer. Mainly to show that it would be a rather large ship, and a difficult one to put in QSD. This led to replacing the Nebula class with the more nimble Merian class in the books. :) #StarTrek
@Mstanley The XCV-330 or XCV 330 indeed is discrepancy galore. :P I went over the original blueprints with Andrew and we determined 400 feet or 121.92m. You only have the front pod (enviropod) as the living module. There is nothing for humans further back, except a crawl-way to a reactor.
Here is a model that I really need to finish one day. The Sketch was done by @AdamIhle I started on the 3D but the last time I worked on it was 2017... doh! @SeanTourangeau, Adam and myself discussed this one briefly in an upcoming @ShipTalkingPod cast. A #StarTrek #Slave1 :P
@JPMajor @ThePlanetaryGuy @ridingrobots I actually made something for this "problem" back in 2003. :) The back story is just as thin as the feasibility. (Sorry about that!) Dunkleo is probably my favorite animal so I had to react. :)
