If this post makes you defensive, you need ask yourself why. Speaking to non-Black Muslims: When u say "All Muslim lives" u think you’re "uniting the ummah" but what you’re really saying is u dont value Black lives & u dont value Black Muslims. It’s dismissive, hurtful, & racist.

It's not up to the black community to educate us or to hold our hands bc we're having a hard time. We need to speak out! Acknowledge privilege! Listen to black people! Take action! And to the non-black Muslim community: these are conversations we need to be having ON THE REGULAR!

If I've learned anything this Ramadan it's that I'll take sleep over food any day!  Also, screw diets. Last ten nights let’s goooooooo!

Bad timing aside (poor Noor 😂), this kind of thoughtfulness makes me smile. I love people who take the time to learn about the people they work with. It's the little things that make a difference.

Yes, Ramadan keeps me busy, but I can never be too busy to call mom! Mainly cuz I’m not allowed to be. Ha ha just kidding Mom!
