Three versions from a live feedback session with my class and instructor (@sinix777), this was so so valuable for understanding how to fix my biggest issues with this week's topics.

this week's topic for class is basic figures, and expressing those figures simply with ambient occlusion and a bit of volume shading. got a long way to go this week but that means improvement.
