5 years ago today 13 people met on Queens Staith before the start of the first Tour De Yorkshire bike race, this was York Rescue Boats first operational day.
A lot of work went into getting the team that far. Little could we have imagined how far we would grow since then.

In York we have had stage 1, 2 & 3 of flooding events, we are now into stage 4 (Recovery), getting things back to normal. Thank you to the businesses in York who support us when we need it. Its now our turn to support you. “York is open for business”. 3/3
