1 - Blue underwing (Catocala fraxini)

Without a doubt this was my fav find of 2021! I spent ages painting sugar syrup on trees in the hopes of attracting this moth.

It all paid off when one visited my grandma's orchard in Slovakia this summer 💙

12 - Eyed hawk-moth (Smerinthus ocellatus)

As its name suggests, this moth has a pair of blue "eyes" on its hot pink hind wings to ward off predators 👁️
