Some of you know my childhood was extremely rough, and, silly as it sounds, Yu-Gi-Oh! - the manga, anime, the card game, the little community of nerds like me, was one of the few good things I had going on in my life then.
So, thank you, Kazuki Takahashi, and rest in peace.
local tournaments - much to the dismay of the guys there. Being a nerd, a girl nerd, wasn't easy at all back then, but I loved this universe, these characters, the game, so much, I couldn't even bring myself to care about what the guys thought.
@RedbeardRohan Tell you the truth I believed that as well before I pursued a medical career, and most people I know and work with too, though I couldn't actually tell you where that misconception comes from. But nope, they're just blocks of bone! Here's a cross-section of the spine:

Forgive the crude edit. This is (supposed to be) a bulging disc. Repeated strain on the disc causes it to swell and press against the spinal cord.
