Finished reading Kidnap Kidding. References to early-Zaregoto and Saikyou were pretty neat. Kunagisa Jun is a great addition to the cast. The ending was quite heartwarming. Decent volume, enjoyed it more than anything Nishio's written lately.

(5/7) Also the fact that it was published at near-about the same time as the final volume of Risuka is probably no coincidence itself. Saikyou V5 and Risuka V4 share a lot of themes together, particularly the father-daughter bond.
(4/7) Saikyou V5 is a murder mystery at it's core (and a travel guide to Venice in disguise). The narrative style used here is something Nishio has already executed in Ougimonogatari and Veiledman Hypothesis. But it works this time exceptionally well.
