It was my friends birthday recently, so here's a drawing i drew for her. Tired pirate fox with big tits. Sometimes things get silly :P

@BoardCoppola This is why it works over multiple mediums and isnt just an animation thing. This is how characters get designed. It's not the only pillar and you can ignore it if you have a good reason to, but it's a very significant aspect.

@BoardCoppola The point is appealing character design. The question of why would they use simplicity in their design. It's not just because its easier to animate (which it is, allowing more movement) it also expresses character effectively and in an appealing way.

@BoardCoppola Does it? Hello kitty literally didnt have any writing at all. She's a fabric store mascot. And most people who buy Betty boop merch haven't watched a single short of her. When people think of mario, they dont think of the writing.
