The manga's depiction of this event develops a foreboding atmosphere and that is certainly carried on here. The sound effects are incredibly eerie with the character art while a tad less ominous than Togashi's Hisoka is still wild in the best way!
Animation Supervisor Koichi Hatsumi makes a clear effort to draw upon the artstyle from the source material while still delivering something unique. Faces are more angular with sharp linework, features like the ears are more simplified with the shape looking quite Togashi esque

Currently working on part 2 I and found these beautiful frames while going through ep.25! It's an interesting time period for Yamamuro, there are many stylistic elements that he will adopt during GT that will remain permanent while equally there being many that fade away.
