Thinking about how 5 yrs ago, August was a real low point. Freelance had dried up, had doubts about if art was a viable career and I almost quit entirely.

Then I got a 3 mo job as BG Paint on a Shopkins film, packed my car and drove to Melbourne, and I haven't looked back since!

Really satisfying to feel like you've leveled up as an artist.

These are two illustrations from 4 years ago I did for a board game.

Yesterday I finished a fairly similar project, and I managed to do much larger, far more complex pieces at the same average pace as these took.
