An image that lives rent free in my head

I had this idea (the word 'idea' is stretching it somewhat) years ago, and I've never done anything with it.

This is just a sketch, a way of getting the 'idea' down. I'm not sure if it has legs or not, but I wanted to see what I can do with it.

Still a loooong way to go, but I only get an hour or so every day to work on it...

I'm enjoying working in more detail than normal. I have no idea how it will turn out at the end though :/
