Next up on the art recap 🔥 - A personal piece from my D&D campaign that I run. Destren is one of my fav NPCs. Since the campaign started, I have wanted to do something to honour her

Her story is one of dual fates, uncertainty against her God, and the struggles of leadership

The overall process was fairly smooth though despite the challenges. The composition I chose felt immediately the most impactful and from there it was all just working out how best to tell the story of these two characters

Some challenges I faced:
- Working out how to place the dragon in the scene
- Painting the forest background

It was the first big piece in years where I had included an animal and also a background, so both were difficult to wrap my head around in composition

Starting off my 2021 recap thread~

This art was created for a class where the concept was "a hunter + their animal companion"

Capturing the drama of the silhouette of the hunter was the key focus of this one!

I have a lot that I've done this year that I'm really proud of as it was the first time I really worked hard to focus on putting characters in larger scenes in order to tell a story!

Learnt so much and had a great time doing these 🤩
