[LRT] the third one there is from the meakashi-hen drama CD iirc, and honestly i dont see those get attention even now
some of the actual VN CD covers are pretty iconic but these really dont get mentioned often at all, which is wild because theyre even more interesting

I think it's both amusing and smart that ryukishi presented rena on every cover - particularly when rena's actions are more subtle as a character in 2 and 3, while she's not present in 4. avoiding spoiling anyone who might assume she's going to be a villain,
i love the art for the original CDs of Higurashi so very much. The posing, the atmosphere, seeing the girls outside the usual presentation of the sprites. it's so much fun.

Higurashi: When they cry Chapter 1
My first visual novel, and I'd say I really like this one. I really enjoyed the pacing and was super drawn in until the end. The ending was a huge downer but I assume this is just the beginning of things. Big recommend
