ルミナスの立ち位置としては戦隊で言うとドラゴンレンジャーみたいな追加戦士なんですど、ニチアサ作品の足枷として玩具売るための新戦士というフォーマットがあるんだけど、プリキュアはまだ試行錯誤してた2年目なので玩具売るための最強戦士みたいな描かれ方してないんですよ。良くも悪くも。

This episode is the start of a new era for Nagisa and Honoka on their wonderful relationship.
It also marked the end of an era on one of Toei Animation's most talented directors and he couldn't have ended it better than this.
Even though they stuck a battle in this one, it was over and done with incredibly quickly.
Pretty sure there was a load of Naotoshi Shida animation in this.
(good lord I'm becoming more of a sakuga nerd by the day...)
