Interestingly, Rei's is very similar to what Lucas has in the concept art for his cameo in "Giratina and the Sky Warrior"

I definitely think the uniform (looks very child-like) has something to do with it, but also the art style. The previous games had distinct clothing and very obvious male/female “body types,” whereas now it seems a lot more “neutral” and “child-like.”

@GymLeaderJade Like, I’m saying that these two just don’t feel right compared to everyone else. The girl is close enough I guess. But I dunno, they just don’t have ANY of the charm the rest of the protags have

I don't really like how similar the protags looks, and yes I know I can probably change my outfit

I just like them to look different and stand out in their own way for things like Anime specials, Manga, and other promos

For me Unova and Sinnoh still have the best designs in the series for the main heroes and Legends Arceus made it even more so.

@CureYunny It broke the Oval-like feeling that the older designs had!

Especially in the eyes and face shapes, it's a lot more rounded and softer!

Bubbly and bouncy yet soft!
