you may like new style or not, matter of taste, but I'm telling you 100% that new texture style, especially hair is much simpler/faster to paint than old, actually less painting skills needed here

Toon shaders and outlines work well with the old model as well. I really just think they need to down the intensity on both of them in game

Although I am a fan of the new textures, I do agree that it seems to be for corner cutting. However, the new models do feature their own shading on their texture sheets still.
(Flat lighting in viewport).

ドラガリの新しい3Dモデル結構観やすくなったなぁ…
線が判りやすくてどういう造形か判りやすい。
影は、多分どこからか日差しみたいな判定あるからああいう感じなんだろうから良いような気もするんだけど…もう１つ薄い影も作っても良いような気もする。どうなんだろ？
