@sapphire_sniper No, you misunderstand. The main anime/manga seasons we know and love really do follow Nanoha and Fate at those ages. We see the real them grow up from age 9 to their 20s. Its really them.
Its in that world we know & love that the movies exist/are treated as films done w/ actors.

@sapphire_sniper Movie 1st & Movie 2nd A's are documentary films about the Jewel Seed & Book of Darkness incidents in the main Nanoha universe. They were whole productions made on a movie set by the TSAB.
Nanoha & Fate were Story Consultants on the films. Same for the Yagami family for 2nd A's.
@sapphire_sniper NanoFate are canoncally together in MGLN. That's all you need to worry about. Don't let other fan ships get you down or ruin your enjoyment. Eventually you get numb to it all. This exists in ALL media, not just anime.
