今回の場合は、EN側が勝手にトランスジェンダーと解釈することを想定していたのでしょう。ただし、日本の公式ページでブリジットが男の子であるという設定と矛盾しない範囲で。
そう考えると、この混乱の原因はローカライザーにあるとは思えません。会社全体の意向である可能性も十分あると思います。
上記を踏まえると、公式ページはよく考えられているなぁ、というのが今の自分の感想です。日本語版サイトではブリジットは男の子と明記されているが、英語版ではブリジットの性別が明記されていない。
これは違いはあるが、記述に矛盾はないとでも言える状態です。
In this case, I think they expected that the EN side would interpret it as transgender on their own. But only to the extent that it does not contradict the setting on the official Japanese page that Bridget is a boy.
In light of the above, the official page is well thought out. While Bridget is clearly identified as a boy on the Japanese website, the English version does not specify Bridget gender. Although differences exist, it can be said that no contradiction exists in the descriptions.
