Can't believe Disgaea is 20 years old today. Absolutely love this series' characters and humor!
Today is the 20th anniversary of one of my favorite games, Disgaea and I totally didn't know that otherwise I'd have drawn something for it. So instead, here are some of my favorite drawings I did over the years for it.
I think if you plan on adding meta humor to your story, you should understand the aim. Games that have them execute it differently. You're not just making fun of the work or the audience but rather embracing them cynically but humorously. These four IPs are big examples.
