So this is...kind of crazy. I decided to test my original DVDs from Bandai Entertainment, against the shots I made with the Funimation-released DVDs. The ones from Bandai seem to stay with the original aspect ratio (left), while Funimation doesn't always keep it (right).

Wtf, I don't know why the aspect ratio keeps changing. You can clearly see the difference between these two shots...I think it depends on which monitor I'm using at the time? Which is super odd, but I'll need to test it.
Out of ALL the Tales games you've done, what is your favorite story?
Not gameplay or anything.
Just pure narrative & story.
My absolute No.1 Tales story is Rebirth.

Which is YOUR favorite Tales story?
Pretty much the same, except Luke's training session in the game acted as a battle tutorial
First scene with Van + Luke's parents, pretty much follows the game
Luke and Asch 1v1 battle, also from game's OP though slight differences
Luke and Tear's scene here seems to take the place of the Nighttime Albiore scene from the game's opening, though also transitions to Luke's conflict/antagonistic relationship with Asch.
As promised...my (very brief) impressions/review of the Tales of the Abyss anime! Right now I'll try to catch up with the ones that have already aired on the official Tales YouTube channel, then will try to post weekly as they come.
