the hype did not disappoint. stellar directing, an immersive and compelling setting, a great cast, a lotta great ideas to chew on. surprisingly twitter was VERY good about concealing the last 1/3rd of the series because oh my god i was absolutely silenced

Been a while since I kept up with Studio Trigger again; they really knocked it out with this series! Great animation, characters, story and emotion. the ending absolutely wrecked my brain, gonna take a while to recover (10/10)

A pretty impressive #anime in a much needed genre. I will say that while I really enjoyed the gritty and dystopian narrative, the choppy pacing left a lot to be desired. In particular, the lack of character development toward the end.
